April 20, 2010 Career Exploration
Before the career exploration visit, I didn’t really know what beyond pix was and I never heard about it or what it did. I thought that it was going to be a big studio with lots and lots of people running around and doing multiple things at once. People on the computer looking for new things to tell other people what was going on that they haven’t already told us. With lots of beyond pix vans rolling around the city and broadcasting live. One thing that I was looking forwards to was seeing the characters from cars but they just help make it and the models weren’t there. I also thought that there was going to be very fast paste and everyone in a rush to get from place to place.
Now that we went to beyond pix I know what they do and how they work. Everything that I thought that it was going to be like was totally wrong again. It wasn’t even a news casting studio they just help produce shows. It was very calm and it looked like all the employs liked their jobs and had fun being there. When they told us that they only had 22 employs in total I was shocked and I guess it’s not like the movies. The studio that beyond pix was at was not even that big and was kind of small. But one of my predictions did turn out right it was that everybody need someone else or the project wont get done. I liked how most of the things there one of the employs made or help make almost everything there. The other thing that I liked was when they put people side by side on T.V and they are from different states, and how they make them talk to each other. That was my thoughts and what I learned at beyond pix.
